Clara Rimondi

I have completed a Bachelors of Psychology, graduating with first-class honours in 2021. I am currently involved with the administration and marketing of the clinic.

In the beginning

When I first studied psychology in high school, I was intrigued by the mechanics of the human mind, and how early life experiences can shape our lives.

My interest in psychology brought me to Sydney to study psychology at university. During the early stages of my degree, I started working in early childhood education, developing a true passion for helping children with a diverse range of needs.

A passion for supporting the needs of children

Throughout the course of my work in childcare, I have helped children with needs such as Autism, Anxiety, and ADHD. I aim to create a safe and secure space for the children and participate in fun activities that build their developmental skills.

My honours research in psychology examined barriers to engagement in fitness in a sample of Australian women.

I am also bi-lingual, being fluent in English and Italian.

Hopes for Future Career

My current role here at McKinnon Psychology is giving me valuable experience towards a career in clinical psychology. In the future, I would like to pursue a Masters program to become a qualified psychologist specialising in child development. I have observed firsthand that intervening early to help children at the earliest stage possible can help them to flourish in later years, and I would like to contribute to this cause in the future.

In my spare time

I like to read, go for long walks through parks and by the beach, and I love to spend with my friends and family.
