Gal Sebban

As a brain enthusiast with a passion for understanding the mind and supporting others, I’m dedicated to fostering a warm, inclusive, and culturally diverse environment for every client at McKinnon Psychology.

In the Beginning

Before discovering my passion for psychology, I completed a BA and MA in Media and Communications and worked in the fashion industry. While managing photoshoots and marketing content, I found my greatest fulfillment in connecting with people. This, combined with supporting at-risk youth, sparked my fascination with mental health, the mind, and the power of human connection.

My Career

I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Sydney and am currently pursuing a Master of Clinical Psychology at ISN.

Outside of my studies, I’ve worked as a Peer Facilitator at the University of Sydney, supporting international students through their transition to university. In addition to my role at McKinnon Psychology, I also work at the Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic at the Brain and Mind Centre, where I continue to gain hands-on experience in mental health.

My Role at the Clinic

At McKinnon Psychology, I provide administrative and intake support to our clients and psychologists, ensuring that everything runs smoothly outside of sessions so each client can make the most of their time during sessions.

By fostering cultural sensitivity, shaped by my upbringing in Israel and my experience living in Sydney’s diverse community, I hope to contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all clients.

In My Spare Time

I love to cook and host friends and family. To recharge, I enjoy pilates, swimming, or catching up with loved ones on the other side of the globe.
